Sea Creatures

This set was a commission for a collector in Ireland. What I loved about working on these was that the first response to each subject was “Eughhhh!!!”. But the more I looked, the more beautiful each one became. The sparkly sliminess, the decay, the tentacles (and the SMELL) became fascinating to draw, and the beauty of the colours and form surprised me as I worked through each one.
